cranberry & vaseline opalescent cup -- Maker?
« on: December 02, 2009, 12:44:00 AM »
The particulars:  2 3/4 inches tall, 3" wide at top rim.  The foot is clear glass.  Polished pontil.  There is machine threading on the upper 3/4th of the outer rim.  Internal cranberry.  Not signed.  It says "English" to me.  Any ideas of maker?  The color of the vaseline opalescent reminds me of 'Straw Opal' by Powell, but I don't know if he made any with the cranberry.

WJ Hodgetts,Richardson and son and Stevens and Williams were well known for their threading without pattern books it would be difficult to say where they are from, very, very nice pieces,Keith.
