Little orange and black vase, EPNS collar, bohemian??
« on: December 14, 2009, 06:38:34 PM »
Hi all
another of todays finds, which i know nothing of... im not gonna say the T word, i will just say is it "last t...o in paris"
The vase has 3 little black glass feet which are coiled over into balls at the end (plenty of age wear, where it makes contact with the surface.
It has and EPNS collar, and a pretty little "painted" scene of a sail boat, which is black in colour, i think its like an enamel?
It stands at 17cms tall
any ideas?, i thought probably Bohemian, but thats as far as i got.
thanks
michelle

Does that mean that either the collar is English or both or they used the same lettering in 'Bohemia' as we do for electro....etc...?Keith.

Or even that the glass is Bohemian but the collar is English?

Or that the collar was made for the English market. The glass is almost certainly Bohemian.

According to Alfredos site Rindskopf did vases with silver collars so no doubt others did to,that doesn't really help finding out where it came from does it?Keith.

Hello:

I think it can be a Kralik from the tango series...

EPNS (electro-plated-silver-nickel) was used in bohemia and germany too.

Best greetings.

Many companies used this style, so do you have a source to comfirm the shape as Kralik?
