« on: December 29, 2009, 02:29:15 PM »
The vase is 10.25"/26cm tall & 7.5"/19cm at widest point. It weighs 1.2kg, I don't know anything about it except the style looks to me like Art Deco, can anyone please help with information?

Hi, welcome to GMB!  :D

I can confirm Stölzle, Hermanova Hut before 1958 # 19085 - tremendous range of shapes in this pattern

see Marcus SKLO UNION book http://www.sklounion.com/

Hi decobiba,
it was Marcus Newhall, launching his book (and CD included) in November, 2008 who finally solved the longlasting mystery of this pattern as Stölzle Hermanova hut before 1958.
This pattern is not included in older Stölzle catalogues that are known so far (several between 1920 and 1950), which however does not exactly date the design itself.
I would therefore just say: post WWII
Hope this helps

Thank you Pamela, I think I will buy the Marcus Newhall book because I like this kind of glass very much. It reminds me of Art Deco.
Many Thanks

It's a pattern that comes in both uranium and non-uranium green glass (plus other colours), which indicates, to me at least, that it had quite a long production run, so it seems possible that it was designed pre WWII
