Topic: Help identifying carnival plate

Hello, I am trying to identify a plate my 95 year old grandmother gave me. She states her mother gave it to her, there is no markings on the bottom, but it looks to have some sticker residue on the top side of the plate. It is red, smooth on top and patterned on the bottom. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,  A good place to start would be www.ddoty.com - David Doty's carnival glass website.  It has hundreds of photos of all sorts of American carnival glass.  I would start by clicking on his listing of 'Common Geometic Patterns' and see where it leads.  I'm sure there must be other sites too that would give info on European/English carnival glass, a quick Google search using any of these words would turn up something.  Happy hunting, Iain

It's relatively new though, as it wasn't made in carnival until the 1970s
