Hi Otis,

I had a couple of very similar bottles (well the caps are), both of mine were signed: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,11282.0.html

If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Hi Della,  I have looked at your similar items and I must say they are very nice pieces.  I have travelled the world Wide Web in search of my piece and unable to obtain any more leads.  I would very much like to know who made it and be in a better position to probably put a price on it.  Anyway a great Many Thanks for the interest you have shown.    8)

Just to inform those of interest.  I have looked closely at the gold thread that is laced around the bottle and you can see that the bottle was shaped around the gold thread.  you can actually lift the gold thread and see the indent along were the first layers of thread lies.  Who ever designed this particular piece/s, most of put a lot of thought, effort and craftmanship into it.  The Figurine speaks for itself in not only a visually way, but in picture too.  I just need to find out more about it.

OK...my last word...promise....

following Della's thread I found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hand-Made-Glass-by-Elena_W0QQitemZ160272992745 which is the sort of thing I've been talking about. According to that listing their piece is by 'Elena' which from a google search appears to be in importer of art glass from the Czech Republic.

Cheers,

I found the one on ebay by searching for glass + hat which seemed to be a common factor in all the pieces, and just struck lucky...not an easy thing to search for at all.

Only thing I would add for the record is that 'Elena's Imports' who import Czech glassware seem to be based in Canada so may just be unrelated to the 'made by Elena' mentioned in the ebay.co.uk listing, so without a little bit more digging I'm still not 100% sure we can say where these were made, but I'll leave that to someone else.
