pattern id needed please ? Stuart Crystal??
« on: January 10, 2010, 05:56:39 AM »
Hi all. This whisky tumbler together with a sherry glass was a wedding present in Jan 1978. Unfortunately the sherry glass has been broken and I am trying to id the pattern to find a replacement. I thought I remembered that they were Stuart crystal, but have searched all the patterns I can find on sites such as replacements, etc. without success. Also there is no marking on the base of the tumbler to say stuart. If anyone can help me id the maker and pattern I'd appreciate it. It is (I hope this is the right terminology) a fan cut above an oval thumbprint. The sherry glass (I think) had a cut stem with no "ball", and I think the base was cut as well, like a star shape from the centre out - but the memory could be faulty.

thanks

Jackie, West Oz.
