Miloslav Klinger Vase?
« on: January 23, 2010, 01:21:50 PM »
Hi-If anyone can confirm this is a Zelezny Brod vase Miloslav Klinger I would be grateful. :)If not perhaps someone can recognise it. It seems to be fairly similar to no 70068 in Mark Hill's book p.48, but there is a curious 'propeller' base which doesn't quite match up. Polished base and pinkish amber... Thanks. Tony :) :) :)

Hi there!
Very late reply I know but what the heck! I've just been reading a thread about vases with a lot of similarity to your's. There was a discussion whether the similar one was Frantisek Zemek or Miloslav Klinger. I don't know if it was ever resolved but even Jindrich wasn't sure. I'm no good at doing links but if you'd put Klinger or Zemek in for a search, the thread should come up.  :X:

Looks like a 'pregnant virgin' vase - I'm sure Dirk can tell you all about it as he has a nice collection of Hessenglas
