3 new vaseline/uranium pieces to share
« on: January 24, 2010, 01:43:26 PM »
All three of these arrived from England this week, so I thought I would share.

The squatty vase is OPALINE BROCADE by John Walsh Walsh.  it is 6 1/2" wide, 4 1/2" tall.  The vase was made by Thomas Webb and Sons.

The little salt sits on 6 feet.  Stevens & Williams most likely made the salt, as they were known for making that tight crimping on the rim.  The entire piece has uranium salts in it.

If you have Gulliver's book on VICTORIAN DECORATIVE GLASS, there are two WEBB DRAPES shown pg. 151-152, but in a different color and non-uranium/non-opalescent.  the shape is basically the same, other than mine has a flared top rim.
