Skrdlovice Glassworks Andromeda Range Vase
« on: January 29, 2010, 11:03:16 AM »
Hi,

I believe this spiraling vase was produced by Skrdlovice Glassworks and is from the Andromeda Range.

The height is 11 1/2" and weighs 3.5 Kilos.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dettmer

Hi! In previous GMB posts this has been generally recognised as a piece from the "Andromeda" range, marketed by Glassexport, the pieces having been designed some years before by Jaroslav Beranek at Skrdlovice, the vase being probably pattern number 5346, originally designed in 1953. This colour combination may be of a later date. As many GMB members know, this is a vase is pictured in Mark Hill (and Graham Cooley's) book Hi Lo Sklo,
