It's a good call, and got me thinking for a while! But the 1-pint tumbler is slightly taller at 6 1/8-in. (15.5cm). It should also have MADE IN ENGLAND embossed on the base.
It did occur to me that with oddities still cropping up, like Ming's fluted Lotus dishes, that Chance Bros. may have tried a range of grossly heavily decorated glasses at about the same time as the decorated Spiderweb. As Keith points out, I do have a Spiderweb celery with those same floral transfers, and the combination of gilt bands with Matthey Crinkles has already been discussed.
These tumblers are also dated to at least 1952, with the odd one seen in the Willow pattern, but this might have simply been a case of using up the left overs!
