Caithness Maydance with CG Label but no Etched Title
« on: February 03, 2010, 06:45:21 PM »
I have a paperweight which I think is Maydance from Caithness Paperweights. Nothing is etched on the base (no name, number, no Caithness Glass not even C11G). What there is is an early CG Made in Scotland label (as well as personal stickers from previous owner). The large central label is very faint but you can make out the CG and underneath that Made in Scotland using a hand magnifier. Does this mean it is a first quality or a second? Thanks
Ronnie

If it is not marked "CIIG" then it's not a second - especially with a regular label on the base.
