Help to id large cut & engraved clear glass vase
« on: February 10, 2010, 04:27:04 PM »
Found this recently in a junk shop and, whilst not exactly my cup of tea, had to worth the £10 paid. It is quite heavy, 2.4k & measures 24 cm high,  17cms diameter tapering to 10cms across the base. It has an unusual design of large flowers with cross engraving to the petals & concave centres, concave polished discs through which, if you look, you can see the flowers on the other side almost like a telescope effect, and cross hatching. There appears to be a polished pontil to the base and it appears to have some age. In fact  having looked at it closely for this description I am starting to fall in love with it :kissy:

Does anyone recognise it or have any ideas????
