Blue glass bowl with spout in silver plated cup

An unusual looking piece.  The glass bowl measures 9.7cm dia.  The base has a polished pontil approx. 3cm dia. which includes a rim around the pontil that is 0.7cm wide and stands proud about 0.1cm.  This could be some sort of a milk jug but I am not sure.  Can anyone identify this please.

British 1950s comes with a sugar bowl and pepper and salt casters in the same caged design.
