Lady in the charity shop was keen to convince me these were 1950's sundae glasses. Most sundaes' that I have, or have seen, are thick glass, taller and pressed, and have a straightforward cone shape (usually). However, I think these are mould blown, with rather basic and minimal cutting. They are quite attractive tho, and for me the shape is unusual, with this change in direction half way up (or down). Unlike my other sundaes, these are very thin glass, and ring well. Does anyone agree with the lady in the charity shop, or might they be for some other purpose? Needles to say, I'm unable to see any marks, and the ribbing is not optical - the eight ribs can be felt quite pronounced on both sides. Grateful for any opinions, and thanks for looking. Paul S.
