Topic: From Murano, Italy or Brazil? (or elsewhere?) small multi coloured vase

Very pretty but in my searches the only thing I can come up with is Brazil. Any thoughts anyone?

To me it looks as follows: an inner layer of dark amethyst glass, the next layer of silver flakes in clear, then a layer of multi-coloured flattened blobs including goldy/copper coloured blobs  (makes it sound so appealing doesn't it  ) then all cased in a layer of clear.  The base is polished flat and shiny clear(despite the photo).  The clear casing is even all over including the base i.e the base casing is not any thicker than that around the vase.  Against it  ,  is that whilst the rim is polished and rounded off it has a very slight flaw at one point and is minutely mishapen at that point. 
Oh and I have labelled it tutti frutti for my reference only so I can find it in my files.

The blobs do contain some baby blue/powder blue blobs that are a similar colour to two Chinese vases I have.  I have also seen some Brazilian glass by Novica I think it was, where the vase has blobs like this but it's all in and on clear and doesn't seem to have any silver or the goldy bits in (also they are much larger pieces than this).  This little pot is about 8cm tall by 9cm wide.

Murano would me my best guess, similar to AVEM ?

thanks Andy    I think so too all things considered.  Off to go and trawl some more this weekend as so far have found nothing like it.

This looks similar. And if it is I want to cry - there was a bowl with this vase but I didn't buy both

To be honest, I think it's only vaguely similar and the bowl is overpriced. I don't think your vase is Avem.

Hi m,
that bowl is way overpriced! I think Christine is right, id forgotten what a good Avem pattern was like,
you say yours cased in clear glass, if so, i may lean towards a more recent date
and quite likely from our Chinese friends, as i have seen similar.
It may however be generic Murano from another maker.

Phew,  I'd hate to think I turned down a bargain   
I didn't like the bowl as much as the little vase so just bought the vase.  In retrospect I do think I should have bought both though because they obviously were a pair and also I don't see that much multi coloured glass around and I like it   Never mind.
I'm sure that linked bowl is overpriced    I can't imagine paying that much for a piece of glass either - I wonder if it will ever sell?
I've had another look at mine.  It doesn't have a clear casing, the blobby coloured bits are set in clear glass.  There is no casing on top of that though. So three layers rather than four, just the amethyst, silver flakes layer, then the blobby colours set in clear glass.
I've learnt something from it though - I've never looked too closely when others post 'AveM' pieces or similar thinking I'd never find something like that.  So I've just assumed they were vast pieces of glass.  Now I've had a search around many pieces appear to be much smaller than I imagined they would be when I actually check the sizes.  Funny isn't it.
