hi all
picked this little jug up a week or so ago, so far not found anything the same.
The first thing it reminded me of when i saw it was a piece of Barovier i had years ago (in Andy Mcconnels 20 century, page 85 the green/blue jug, i didnt know what it was and sold it for about £8

after having it on my stall for about 18 months and nobody showing the slightest bit of interest) although only because of the colouring and the slightly glittery iridescent effect, second thoughts where for Erik Hoglund because of the folded rim, but i know others do this too... then i was lost.
OK its made from a lightweight fine glass which is full of frit and tiny bubbles (i can never remember what that effect is called) feels quite rough on the outside
The base is quite a deep concave with a snapped off pontil (still very sharp) it has a folded rim which in comparisin to others ive seen has been done incredibly well and neatly especially at the pulled lip pouring bit, with an applied handly which is a wee bit on the sqwhiff (uneven). All be it quite a pretty little thing it doesnt '
feel' nice but then that is perhaps the bubbly effect
It stands at 10.25cms tall
any ideas on who or even where
many thanks inadvance
michelle
