Does anyone recognise this pattern please on opalescent table ware please?  
Not Jeannette Glass Co. as I first thought.

I believe it is American Sweetheart - Monax manufactured by Macbeth-Evans between 1930-1936.
Monax is the name given to the glass itself by Macbeth-Evans. It is a thin white glass kind of a cross between milk glass and opalescent glass... it leans a little more towards opalescent in the thinner areas of the glass....

Many thanks Craig   I didn't realise it was quite so old, and at first thought it might be something like Pyrex.  The pieces, all 20 assorted, look really fragile because of the thin transparent edges, but have survived well.  Its really pretty, and when held to a strong natural light source, has a fiery glow around its thinner edges.

I think this might be a dessert bowl Christine.  Its 6" (15cm) diam. x 1¼" (3.5cm) high. There are also some double handled bowls which presumably are soup bowls, flat small plates which I thought might be underplates for either the dessert or soup bowls, larger dinner plates and a beautiful large oval serving bowl with a turned out flat rim, and large oval underplate.  When I get time, I'll post some pics. for reference.

American Sweetheart is one of the more common Depression glass patterns found in the UK. I'll send you a couple of scans so you can work out what you've got.

It's often cited as Victorian in antique centres though  :24:

Hi, What you have is a cereal bowl, it likely measures 5-7/8" across..... As an overall, pieces were generally smaller in size back then.... I guess they just did not eat as much as we do

They also made a popular version of dinnerware in the same glass which is called petalware....   Not as "Victorian" looking... I have had some pieces of it.... The glass is cool, and amazingly tough.....  Monax was also made in a kind of cream color also.... but the white is the nicest.
