Carnival bowl
« on: March 14, 2010, 10:31:29 PM »
Purchased over the weekend from a Charity shop.  Not something I would normally consider purchasing but as the price was reasonable I could not refuse.  The bowl measures 10.2cm in height, 20.5cm dia.  The bowl is heavy.  Can anyone provide information as to the originator and possible age. I have looked through various books and unable to find this particular one.  Many thanks in anticipation

Glen (who knows more about Carnival glass than just about anyone else living) would be able to identify your piece immediately, but mere mortals will need a better picture of the pattern. Meanwhile, try David Doty's site and hunt for a matching motif.

Hi Glen,  Thank you for your info.    I will certainly be getting those books.  I have attached better pics than the previous ones.  I wonder if Emmi would advise on the best camera to get?  :kissy: :-[  :pb:
