Clear Donut Cat
TxSilver:
This cat seems like it would be easy to identify, but no luck so far. It is 7" tall to the tip of its tail. Unsigned. I suspect it is either Muranese or Scandinavian. The base is polished with shelf wear that I would expect on a 1950-60s piece. I tried to run a search for "cat" on the message board and was overwhelmed with the number of words that contained the three letters in them -- category, identification, catalog, etc.

I'm sure something similar has been on here before. Maybe Anne knows a way to manipulate searches

I believed it is supposed to be an arch-backed cat. Licio Zanetti did one similar to it, but not as thick. And of course, Licio's would have been signed. This one has wear, but not enough to have rubbed off an entire signature.
