Vase, Dugan?
« on: March 20, 2010, 03:08:53 AM »
This is the 2nd piece I picked up & it reminded me a little of Dugan because of the texture & some embedded frit, but I cannot find this shape. Any help appreciated. Ken

Hi Ken,  Nice find.....  Here are a couple of images. In the first one the tall piece is Rindskopf the other pieces are Dugan.  In the second image the tall piece is Loetz, the others are Dugan. In the first image the left hand piece appears to be a variation of the same shape. In the second image the right end piece looks to also be a variation of the same shape and possibly the same color as yours except that example has dimples placed in the sides.... the color difference between the greens is likely just differences in the two images.

I say Dugan....

Craig

Thanks Craig. Dugan it is...not much doubt now. Appreciate it as I had not seen that shape before. I just Googled Alfredo' site & found the photos on David Doty's site. Never thought to look there as I associate Doty with Carnival. Ken

Let's try that link again.... I tried it when I previewed it and it worked... I must have done something to it.....

Alfredo's Dugan Page

Dugan turned to Carnival production in the early 1900's, as did Rindskopf.
