Pair of Vases, Czech?
« on: March 20, 2010, 03:17:31 AM »
This are the final piece(s) & lady's daughter said her Mom always told that the pair were pre-WWII. 12" height & glass is 3/8" thick (not kidding either) & very heavy. wear on bottom, every surface polished, gold scenes around midpoint of each vase featuring ladies with harps, lyres & a man (king?) looking down from a throne, amethyst color, scenes not etched & backed by a blue squiggly? background. I thought Czech, but am looking for opinions. I know pretty much impossible to pin down. Thanks, Ken

could also be VSL but Czech is quite likely.

Thanks Ivo & Keith. Unfortunately I don't have either of the Collectible Bohemian Glass books by Truitt.  All I have is an auction catalog of many of his pieces from his collection. Ken
