Small plain uranium green bowl
« on: April 08, 2010, 09:02:51 PM »
Any thoughts about this uranium green bowl would be much appreciated.  Its only 3" high and 4½" wide.  Not sure exactly what it is - may be a sugar or finger bowl .  It looks more functional than decorative.  Glows like crazy under a U.V. light, and has lots of absolutely minute air bubbles but these are only really seen when its held to the light.  Rounded top rim, and flat ground rim (with lots of wear) on the base.
TIA  :)

Isn't it gorgeous? I have 2 of these - let's find three more and make a set!

I also have one in dark green crystal bought many years ago in France. I believe these are finger bowls made by Baccarat in the middle/ late 19th century in (here it is again) the original Chrysoprase, or opaque uranium.

great find!  :hiclp:
