A tripod is always useful! Another tip is to focus the camera in light and get someone else to switch the light off while you click.

Hi, and thank you all for your comments and advise I have tried again to take the pictures of the fish under UV I'm sorry that the quality on this attempt is not that good but I will try till I get it right. All comments welcome and thanks to you all for taking the time to reply to this topic.

Great photos Fisher!  :thup:  Sorry Max for my comments the other day on this same post.  I was trying to make a point and didn't mean to stir anything up.  I hope you can forgive me. ;D  Uranium glass can be tricky I have found.

Hi and thank you all for your encouraging and kind words regarding the UV pictures. As promised I will keep trying till I achieve a better quality picture to truly appreciate the effect of the UV as it twists and turns through the fish and into the tail fin. For now I have posted a normal picture of the tail as I didn't include it in this post earlier and I hope it may help in any identification of the fish. Many thanks again to all that have taken the time out to comment on this topic.
