Hi all
I picked this piece up recently, and have been struggling to make out the signature, ive tried goggling the name in different ways and cant find anything so far. would be much obliged if anybody could help at all.
The vase is made from black glass (probably very dark purple although even through light looks black) with silver leaf inclusions then cased in clear glass. It has a little applied foot. It stands at 21cms tall, about 6.5cms in diameter at its widest.
The signature on the base looks to me like Ron Parrain 1988
Nicely made piece
many thanks in advance
Michelle

First name could be Rob, Roy or Ron.

Second could be Farrain, Parralin or Farralin.

Sure looks like 1988 though. :D

Also the first letter of the second word could be an R there is a very small line just at the base of the rounded bit, maybe a mistake, maybe part of the letter.
I will keep searching and try your suggestions.
cheers John

Well, no harm in a wee bump, Michelle - because I may have found a candidate.

I've been eyeing this Fish vase from the glassmakers shelves "department" of Isle of Wight Studio glass, by Reggie Perron.

It might be worth asking them if it was him - I'm not sure he's not known as Ron.

Had a reply today Unfortunitly not him sue
"I am afraid it won’t be Reggie Perron, we only call him Reggie as his first name is in fact Perron and his surname is Phipps.  He is only 22 years old"

will keep on searching

There was something about his name (Perron, called Reggie) on the site, a while ago, but it's not there now.
That was what had been lurking at the back of my brain, but when I made the suggestion I couldn't find it to check.
Sorry it was a wild goose chase.
