Topic: A Czech stylized birdie from ZBS, green and chunky, 10,5cm high

I've had this from the beginning of '80s when my mother gave it to me, she must have bought it herself or been given it as a gift around the '70s.  She can't remember it now I asked on the phone, must send her a picture, but she's old... just can't remember everything. 

I found information of the ZBS factory/school already from this site.  Just great.

And a very much similarly coloured bird Della has posted in this message http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,18268.0.html
(Oh,not "egret" but "cormorant" !  I am learning birds in English from a glass site...) 
Anyway, I cannot say "egrets, I've had a few", nor cormorants. I only have this little birdie and I do not know if it is a green bullfinch or what?
And is it just another piece from the factory or would there be a designer or any other information available?

Correct, this bird has been designed by Miloslav Janků in late 60ties.

Miloslav Janků (*4.4. 1916, + 27.5.1994)

1931 - 1934 -  Suddent of Glassmakiing school in Zelezny Brod
1934 - 1939 -  Student at Academie of Applied Arts in Prague (UMPRUM)
1939 - 1951 -  Professor at Glassmaking school in Zelezny Brod
1956 - 1976 -  Designer in ZBS

I think they're the same size. I say this because I don't want you to have any egrets about your mother leaving you a smaller one. That should stop you making me smile.

My bird is 12 cm.

Still no egrets, whatsoever, and let's say I won't tell my 80+ mother that I happen to know a taller version exists.  :thup:

On the cormorant, Nemmie ! I didn't pay anything for mine and I was hoping as considerate a person David is he might be willing to give up his birdie  for a chirpy cheep price for a family reunion. Don't you think his bird would love to migrate North (oops they are in Canada - I was actually supposed to say "migrate West" of course) in the spring ?    I could tell my old mother the taller version is the one she gave me, she doesn't remember anyway!
