red vase pls jog my mem
« on: April 23, 2010, 07:45:53 AM »
I found this red vase (19 cms) yesterday and thought it must be Leerdam - except the books will not confirm it. But it is very familiar - so it may be something else altogether. I'm thinking Reijmyre or Whitefriars or WMF or Iittala?

Not Whitefriars Ivo, but I have something very similar in Blue which I have been trying to ID for some years........here's a photo of mine.

Sorry, don't want to hijack your thread, but thought there some similarities.

Ivo, I think you can also safely discount Iittala along with Whitefriars.

Emmi, the shape, ribbing and colour of yours looks quite Italian (Empoli) to me.

Thanks Nic, I did put this up for ID here about 4 years ago, with not even a hint of what it maybe, so your observation is welcomed.
