ART DECO VASE IDENTIFICATION - PLEEEZE
« on: May 08, 2010, 04:35:57 PM »
:spls: Have several of these in different colours, but the maker is unknown to me. Sorry.  Has anybody any clues?  They are not unkown and seem to be quite readily available/noticable at glass fairs and the likes. . . but?  Your imput would be appreciated.  Jazz

 :)
Your photo is a bit small - when I blow it up to try to get a proper look, it's completely out of focus - there's not enough clear picture to see what it's like at all, sorry.
Also, it would help greatly to have an image of the base, and to know where you live - given you're finding them locally (I presume) this might help pin down it's origins.

 Shucks . . .  Tried to make it SMALL as I have had trouble in the past to post larger images.  The size of the vase is: 8.5" at its widest. Height: 6" and the base is rectangular with NO MAKERS MARKS or Rd No's. A singular freize of faux frosted moulded glass adorns one of the decorative moulded bands whish I hope my "little photo" shows? lol  It is also press-moulded. Hope that helps? jazz.

Small is good for putting here, but folk need to be able to "blow it up" to get a proper look.

And you're doing better than me - I can't cope with computery stuff and end up using photobucket links. :-[

Needs to be around 800 pixels along its longest side so we can see the detail. Most image programs have a save for web option which makes files smaller in file size without making them display smaller (it's called optimisation)...  you should be able to get an image we can see at a size that fits the board's size limits that way. The board then does the clever stuff of making a wee thumbnail which can be clicked to make it into a bigger image...   more in our help topic for images here:
