Cloud Glass Bowl - Davidson, Walther, or a copy?
« on: May 10, 2010, 03:47:22 PM »
I recently came across this amber cloud glass bowl, and was wondering if anyone can help with the ID.  It looks like Davidson's pattern 732F, but it has a raised "W" (or "M") on the base, which I haven't seen before.  Any ideas?

Size = approx 9.5 inches diameter by 2.75 deep.

What do YOU think - is it Wavidson or Dalther?

LOL  ;D

I'm pretty sure it's Davidson really, oops I mean Wavidson, I've just never seen any with raised letters before...

Wayne, somewhere on the board there's been a mention of these pieces with a raised M or W before but I can't find the earlier topic.... (search doesn't handle single letters well!) I *think* Bernard was a contributor to it so he may recall what it was about. It's a while back for sure.

Thanks Anne, I just had a search and found this thread.  Sounds like the bowl is Davidson then, although the reason for the letter seems to be a bit of a mystery.
