Amber?? Seal Planter
« on: May 11, 2010, 09:37:57 AM »
Hi there:
I bought this the same day.  I found this interesting as I assume it is Amber?  It is a Seal and he has a hole in his back for like a planter.  He is HEAVY, and a solid chunk of glass.  Not sure if it is something for a Desk (to hold paper clips), or a big PW, or just for knick knacks.

The size is:
~ about 9 inches long
~ about 4.5 inches Wide
~ about 4.5 inches High

Back Opening Size:
~ about 5 inches by 2.75 inches

I do not have a clue on this at all -- for anything...............Anyone ???

Thanks  in advance

Hi there, and thank you for that.

I can see there is a resemblance with the sharp edges, and the chunkiness of it.  I see nothing on the bottom of mine, but will have a re-look at it from different light sources to see IF anything shows up, but has worn off (?).  That is more information than I had before, so Thank you very much.

Kinda a small planter....that why I thought it (might) be a funky shape for a desk/paperweight to hold something like paper clips in it...but I am just guessing

Just to add that not all Art Vannes are signed - some came with a gold label.  I collect Art Vannes in particular and have yet to see any colour other than clear.  I would suggest not Art Vannes but maybe scandic??
