Topic: Mottled green milk jug and sugar bowl - ID = unknown currently

I recently picked these up at a car boot sale thinking they were perhaps Vasart or Nazeing but cannot be sure. Can anyone please help identify the matching milk and sugar? The jug is 2.75 inches high and the bowl is 2.5 inches high.

Thank you, Kevin. They do indeed look to be from the same maker - especially with the identical clear sunken pontil on the base of the bowl (and your vase).

Can I resurrect this topic please, as I found a jug which appears to be the same style/shape as zidori's at the top, but mine is slightly larger at 3½" tall. When I found it, it was accompanied by two other blue bowls... one is a totally different colour/appearance, so I'll post that into a separate topic, but the other is a very close match in colour and appearance to the jug. The bowl is 2¼" tall, 4" diameter across the top, and 2¼" diameter across the base. (See pics attached to this post.)

What struck me about the bowl was that it looks very much like the base of the powder pot in the trinket set shown in a Nazeing advert I have a copy of...  the advert has dimensions given but the copy of the advert image I have is quite small and blurry so it's not easy to see the sizes.

Does anyone have a larger version of the advert please, who could check the sizes for me and see if my blue bowl might be a Nazeing trinket set bottom?

And then, given the similarity of colour/appearance, could the jug also be Nazeing? Or if neither are Nazeing, then are they probably made by the same glasshouse? And does anyone know which one?

After an hour of googling I've found a larger version of the Nazeing advert (on ysartglass.com, thanks Frank) http://www.ysartglass.com/Ysartnews/Images/YS5_Nazeing5s.jpg which shows the size of the powder bowl as 6½" diameter, which is bigger than the one I found, so mine's not the powder bowl base.

We have samples of these* in our Museum labelled "Elwell" which we bought from his grand daughter who lives seven miles from the factory.
We are 90% certain that Nazeing Glass made these in different colours and sizes for sale by Major Elwell, a glass wholesale who sold on to Liberty's and Heals under his own name.

Whilst I am in full agreement with what Stephen has written about the post by Anne of her blue pieces, it seems to me his comments should not be applied to the original listing of a green jug and bowl.

The blue pieces that belong to Anne have all the attributes and characteristics of Elwell/Nazeing items as confirmed by the 'find' of a few years back, which was subsequently bought by Stephen.

However, it seems to me that whilst the green jug from the original posting by Ronnie (Zidori) has the shape shape as the blue one of Anne's, that is where the similarity in identies stop.

The green bowl has a fully round polished pontil, which is not characteristic of any known and documented Nazeing production, whether as their own, or made for Elwell. The colour of the green appears (and I believe from pieces that I have seen over the years) has its enamel on the surface - again, not a Nazeing, or Elwell, charcarteristic.

Therefore I believe that effectively two threads have been mixed - leading to probable confusion
