ID Help please Large Blue Art Glass Vase
« on: June 05, 2010, 12:01:08 PM »
Hi

I was wandering if anyone had any ideas on who this vase might be by or even the country of origin etc. Thinking of listing it on Ebay but not sure how to pitch it. There isn't a makers mark, it does have a pontil mark that has been polished albeit quite roughly. It measures 17 1/2" high and about 8@" at widest.

It looks contemporary Polish - perhaps Makora or Tarnowiecz.

I think Ivo means Tarnowiec, without the 'z' at the end.

All the best.

In Polish, there are always three Z's more than strictly needed so I tend to err on the safe side LOL
