Is this a Mdina?

(1/4) > >>

tengel61:
Could someone tell me if this is a Mdina vase? Thanks

Nemmie:
Yes, I can confirm that is a Mdina signature as I have one piece but I can't tell you any more than that as it's not my area.

Lustrousstone:
Can we see the whole piece so we can give more help. Make your next picture about 600 pixels along the maximum dimension; those one are a little too small.

glassobsessed:
A photo of the whole vase would be useful, but it certainly looks like a vase made at Mdina between 1969 and 1972. The style of the decoration and the Mdina signature in Michael Harris' script date it quite precisely. Here's another example: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-11858

Nice vase.

John

chopin-liszt:
Oooooh, yes indeedy it's Mdina, Michael Harris' script on the base and a rather gorgeous and fairly scarce pattern. I call it Seaweed, though that isn't any sort of official name - it just reminds me of seaweed. One of my favourite patterns.

John, you're making me redundant. :P
