thanks Patrick  -  and as promised here are a few further images, which hopefully will settle the matter, and thanks again to everyone.   The spiral can be seen best at about 2 o'clock in the overhead view.   Features in clear glass are sometimes difficult to capture, but hope these are helpful, and apologies for the scribbling on the card.
