ID help or any other information Discs Paperweight
« on: July 02, 2010, 06:55:15 PM »
I don't normally buy paperweights but this one appealed to me for some reason so I rescued it from a charity shop, it is quite scratched and the base is very scratched so I assume it has some age to it. Although the picture shows some white in reality the weight is all red. There are a series of discs or different sizes all the way to the top. If anyone could give me an idea of who made this or where it was likely to have been made I would be very grateful.

It looks like a Wedgwood one, but probably a second, as it's unmarked and the bubbles and layers look squiffy.

Thanks, nice to put a name to it and it matches me in being a second. :)

Well I have had a look at the Wedgwood ones now and it certainly looks similar. Although mine seems to have more detail in the discs if that makes any sense.
