:ooh: almost too scared to put this one on but I have searched .....and searched and I'm posting because I 'think' there is a possibility it may be?
It is beautifully made  with age related base wear and a perfectly polished pontil mark.  The rim appears black but when you hold it to the light it is actually (I think) a very very dark amethyst.  The pink appears cased clear on the base but as it graduates up the sides to the three pulled lips, either the casing disappears or it is very thinly cased and appears opalescent.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated since I can't find an example of the shape, although I have found items in pink I think denoted as Loetz.
I'm sure I read somewhere ages ago about a rim being amethyst not actually black but I can't find that reference now.
Many thanks  :)
m
