well, you know the definition of the word 'expert'................. .........'x' marks the unknown, and a 'spurt' is a drip under pressure.   -  and your use of misleading words is forgiven.     
I'm only joking.....if I knew a fraction of what most of you lot do, I would be very clever indeed.
I had a feeling that flat bases, such as yours, often indicated a more ancient provenance - although from the base pic. you show, there doesn't appear too much wear.  So...... :huh:

Actually quite a lot of base wear, many dirt engrained scratches.........

It's a lovely vase. The OH and I doubt it is uranium; it might be but the photos give no hints like they often do. I don't think it's Walther because it's too green. Walther green seems to come in two shades; yellowish and slightly bluish. I would say Czech or German was likely. The base treatment is not uncommon and, unless it's supershiny (Inwald is likely then), only indicates either hand pressing or semi-automatic pressing, i.e., not fully automated, and therefore likely pre-1960/70s.

Thanks Christine for your comments.  The base does not look as if it has been "super shiney " at any stage in its life, although it is polished not matte.  I think you are right about it not being uranium, I tried a flash photo this morning and it hasn't highlighted any glow.
Oh dear, I really wanted an ID for this, and seems I have picked up yet another unknown! :spls:

If someone could explain the best way to take a photo with the UV pen shining on the vase, I'd most appreciate it.............this is the best I could get and it is rubbish, but it does show a bit of a glow!
