Tulip Vase (Uranium) and Gold edged -- ID??
« on: July 18, 2010, 06:14:32 AM »
:hi: Hi, I just found this -- and it took me a little by surprise by the Green coloring, and the gold around the edging.  I think it looks like a Tulip vase (??).  It is about 4.5 inches tall, and the top is like 5.5 inches wide.  A desert bowl, but kinda big for that (??)  Cute sucker, I like.  Would never had guessed it - had it not been for my Torch Gift to help.  TY again.

...and it Glows like a Trooper.  Any ideas on maker, year -- design?  Thxs.

It's the Lotus pattern by Westmoreland Glass Company. It's a design that was made from 1920 to 1980, but because yours is uranium glass, it's likely it's older, 1920/30s/40s. I think it's a 4-in footed mayonnaise with a flared rim. Should have a little glass ladle.

Mine does not have a ladle...so will have to be on the look-out  8) for one.
