No doubt some of you will have seen the 'Bacchus?' and other weights for sale on eBay.  Some nice items, but I think that some of the descriptions are wide of the mark.  The Bacchus? looks like an untidy Arculus / Walsh Walsh to me, and the 'Gillinder' inkwell looks much more like a Richardson piece.  I have been in correspondence with the eBay seller, who is very helpful, but who is acting as agent for a collector who has provided the attributions and estimates.

I look forward to seeing if much sells at the offer prices - if so, some of my Old English pieces will be on eBay shortly!
