Ice vase
« on: July 24, 2010, 08:25:18 AM »
Hi All.    I bought this the other day, its not what I normally would pick up but I liked it. Very heavy.  Its 8 inches tall (20cms) and looks like a column of ice. It has a small opening most of the way down like a solifluer. Probably Scandinavian but I have no idea, and probably not very old. Any idea of maker or age would be nice,   Cheryl

Very nice... I can't attribute it, unfortunately, but if you can't find anything similar in the Scandinavian corner, my next guess would be German. It reminds me of some Ingridglas designs, but not enough to point there with any confidence, sadly.
