Can anyone tell me if this is Davidson marble glass? I've just seen something very similar on the Great Glass website.

Its a really nice piece decorated with Scottish thistles, Irish shamrock and roses.  I've requested details of package and postage costs and had no reply   - so I won't be taking it any further :?

Haven't seen one of these before, and at first thought it was a bowl.  Any ideas what might sit on top of it?  It seems very ornate for a stand.

Edited to add P.&.P details just received :P

Hi,
No it is not Davidson. It is also incomplete. What the seller has is the base to a covered butter dish.

Regards

Chris

I'm still reading and learning - and funnily enough today had reached the page showing the Blue Pearline patterns from 1891 and when in Kendal this afternoon I found one of the 242 baskets but in clear flint glass not Pearline, which is interesting.  I suppose these were made in clear and colours as well as Pearline, but I have not seen photos of the non-Pearline ones anywhere. I wonder how popular they were compared to the Pearline ones?
