Thanks Ivo. Here's a pic of the top of my green vase showing a similar finish and look to your orange vase, which makes me think your orange and my green vases have perhaps the same manufacturer. One cased the other not...
Clearly there is a similarity to a Whitefriars Geoffrey Baxter vase in colour(tangerine) and the clear glass casing too, but the base is obviously wrong for Whitefriars textured vases which are smooth and generally have polished pontil lense if the top is not cut and polished.
Both the green and orange vases were blown into a mould and machine cut and polished at the top. Both have similar oval/round patterns continuing under the base, but why no mould lines at the base? The answer is perhaps that cased vases in clear glass were returned to the glory hole to heat up and soften in the mould lines.
I'm also pretty sure your orange vase, like a Geoffrey Baxter Pineapple vase, was blown into a two part mould and not three.
If you hold your orange vase up to the light and look carefully you might just get a 'feeling' of two vertical lines, a hint of lines. Certainly some Whitefriars pineapple vases have evidence of these vertical lines but are only seen on very very close inspection held up to a strong light as a dim feeling of a line.
