Help identifying 'Ice pick' flower paperweight
« on: August 01, 2010, 10:13:19 PM »
Hello All,
I have recently acquired a very pretty paperweight.  I did a bit of research and have come to the conclusion it of the 'ice pick' style and design.  It is unmarked and my guessing is that is is perhaps, Chinese, Bohemian or Murano?
Can anyone enlighten me please?

Many Thanks

Monty

(Please help with my other paperweight identification enquiry!)

Hi again,

IMHO this is a Murano weight. I cannot name a maker. But it is a nice example of its type.

Agreed, I have a similar egg-shaped one with a Murano label.

Many thanks Sophie again, much obliged!

Just out of interest this and the other weight will shortly be listed on a well known auction site!

Best Wishes

Monty
