Czech?? thick finger vase
« on: August 08, 2010, 07:08:49 PM »
I have this very heavy vase which has been sat on a little table in my dining room for months but I have no idea who made it.  It has a flat highly polished base with base wear.  I thought czech but now its bugging me it is Art Vannes not sure - suggestions appreciated please.

Well blow me down with a feather duster!  I had a niggle it was AV and should have known as I collect it but something was not sitting right.  Even more of a giggle of the price of that one on ebay I did not even pay a 10th of that and nor would I ask that much either.
Thanks again  :rah:

I think that price is beyond optmism, maybe the reason why it´s on ebay for months now.

I bought this one on ebay a few years ago. I paid (inclusive of postage) about ten pounds (approx twelve Euros) for it and it was one of the very first bits of glass I bought on line. My Mum now has it and loves it. A lovely vase with a great organic shape.

John

For information I paid I think it was 4euros for mine.  The prices some people ask just goes to show how greedy some are in society!
