Topic: Venetian? Glass dish... or something else?

I have this lovely little glass dish. It has three seperate pieces that are attached to each other to make the bowl, stem and foot. All of these are in a slightly off color crystal. It has almost a brown tint to it. Not sure if it's from age or made that way. Then there are three purple rigaree like stems that run from the bowl to the foot. A gorgeous piece... but does anyone know if it's Venetian?
It measures 2 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" in diameter.
Someone suggested also that it might be modern polish, but it's not quite like any modern polish I've seen.

Opinions gladly accepted. Thank you all for taking a look.

Could be  Venini / Cappelin / Zecchin i have one very similar but not quite as nice . Will check it out as i am sure it is a  well documented piece $$$ . need to sober up been out celebrating again sorry . jp

It doesn't look like Venini or any of the companies that branched from Venini. I don't know who made the dish, but I have a feeling it is not Murano glass. It doesn't look Murano to me.

Tx, thanks for the opinion. The other thing I was thinking it might be is some of that made to look like old roman glass that's coming out of... is it Isreal? recently. But it seems too nice to be any of that.

Facon de Venise went in and out of fashion for a long while. I wouldn't rule out late 19th/early 20th century English or anywhere else. It looks a nice piece.

The one i have is shown on page 81 . Circa 50,s glass L Pina . Cappellin compote circa 1920  200-300$$$ i feel yours is the same Family . I could be wrong , i have just trawled thru a shelf of Italian glass books i must get organised one day . :24:

Catisfaction, I ran across these pieces on AntiqueHelper and eBay: http://www.antiquehelper.com/item/366286. I am going to have to eat my words that the glass doesn't look Murano. Do these look like your bowl?

Oh wow, that does look a lot like my bowl... a more refined version of my bowl lol.

Do you think it's safe for me to attribute mine to Salviati also or is it likely it was done by another Murano name? I have yet to figure out the ins and outs of Murano makers lol. Plus... how do we know their attribution is correct? Keep looking I suppose.

John Philip ~ The 50's Glass Pina book I have is Edition two and shows something completely different on page 81 would you be able to share a facsimile of your page 81?

I would feel better if we could find a bowl with a label. Antique Helper has several attribution errors, so I never trust them without some other form of documentation. But it gives a direction to look. If Ripley feels the glass is Murano, it most likely is. The bowls in the link almost look like stretch glass. I'd not seen them before.

This is not meant to insult Antique Helper. They do a good job, but handle a lot of things, many that are difficult to attribute. It's commendable that they don't make more mistakes.
