Hi
I bought a very large, incredibly heavy blown vase (possibly for a wedding pressie so not too worried about provenance) but thought I'd just have a quick look at it.  23cm high x 18cm wide and weighs over 3 kilos  :o I discovered  a very thin, clear label stating 'handmade in Poland' after a bit of searching.  So some more googling found me a vase on our favourite auction site, which is the same but has an additional label 'Shannon Crystal'.  I think they are importers but previous references on here refer to imports from Czechoslovakia so thought I would add mine for future reference.  Particularly since I do think it is a piece that could be mistaken for Czechoslovakian glass if you didn't research it further.  The foot part is very similar to my Pavel Hlava vase.
I can't find it now but I am sure, also on here, I've seen other vases with the heavily indented pontil mark - perhaps they too are
 Polish?

thanks Anne - it is rather lovely.  I may not give it as a pressie after all.  I've been doing a bit of searching to see if there is any chance of finding out who made it.  I never look at new glass and now I have ....wow :o  I had NO idea it was so expensive - I think I have been giving away rather too many pieces as pressies.  Might hang onto this one and perhaps give one that is clear (not a real fan of clear glass to be honest).

 Nice to see a glass piece with heavily indented pontil mark.  (Maybe) it will help (not sure yet) with my heavy smokey Vase.

Great find, and Great Post.  Thank You !!

Excellent Rose, I hope it helps identify a few pieces that may have mystified.
