Unusual Molded Piece With Spooky Faces For ID Please
« on: September 13, 2010, 01:01:06 AM »
Unusual mold blown piece with crazy spooky alien faces.....

Really light blue glass with an opalescent quality in the rim.

Any Help would be appreciated.

I just wanted to say it's a fantastic piece -- different from anything I've seen.

Hopefully, someone will be able to help with ID.

Bertil Vallien?

A wild guess. I like your vase.

You would think this would be an instantly recognisable shape, yet it's strange that no-one has been able to ID it yet.  I am wondering if this is a experimental studio piece, which isn't something I initially considered.  I hope that at some point (it might take longer than expected I guess) someone will be able to point you in the right direction.  :)

...just realised you haven't given the dimensions, could you do that please?  Thanks!

I thought the same thing Max.  It's nice to have all this positive feedback on the piece. It is just shy of 5" tall and 5.5" wide across the rim

Studio piece maybe, but there are/have been so many glass studios worldwide making small runs that I would perhaps avoid the word experimental.

I suppose there is no suggesting that it could be a Lalique piece as I was watching the Antiques Roadshow last night and a similar piece was shown unsigned but authenticated to be lalique
