Small ribbed ink bottle - Old & Bashed but Lovely!
« on: September 14, 2010, 06:32:13 PM »
Well I presume it's very old and not some sort of reproduction.

Size:

Height = 55mm

Width  = 45mm

It's ribbed on three sides and on the top but the bottom and one side is smooth(ish).

The bottom has a circular indentation with a 30mm circumference.

I would love to know the approximate age and use of such a bottle.

Back again,the 'shoulders' of the bottle are moulded so you can rest your ink pen on ;D

Thanks Keith - Fine collection you have there!

It feels very old to me but I'm prone to romancing these things
