Stunning looking decanter!  I was thinking Hoffman...maybe Desna...but can't find anything online and my books are all packed up.   :-\

I think a base shot would be useful, also dimensions.

We might be able to give you an idea of the age of this decanter, but most people shy away from giving valuations as they are dependent on so many variables.

Hopefully someone will be able to ID this for you...it's lovely.

I would say recent Czech production, browse please catalogues of Desna Glass or Schubert Crystal in section Katalogy/Catalogues at my web site.

Even though it's clearly uranium glass Jindrich? Is uranium glass still being made by Desna Glass or Schubert Crystal? (Question to self: was it ever, as I really don't know but would love to!)
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Anne,
I am not expert in pre-war glass but seems to me that this bright uranium colours had been produced only recently, not before WWII.
Desna also stopped production last year.

Speaking from a U.S. point of view I am not at all convinced that you can actually track Desna production. Their factory website (its back now) disappeared from the WWW for quite a lengthy period of time 2 1/2 years ago so who knows what they made during that time period. I've seen Desna labeled pieces in stores that do not correspond with anything on their website & private retail operations who sell Desna offerings do not always match up. The U.S. must be their most prolific outlet though as its everywhere & in shows its always labeled "Moser" especially the Hoffman based mold production, however word has spread & now most know where this is coming from & that its new. Now Desna only produces the glass & they are not the problem, its the dishonest dealers over here who are misrepresenting what it actually is. Probably 1/2 of the fake Lalique stuff you run into over here is Dremeled Desna. Ken

It is not only Desna who made this kind of "deco" production. It is Schubert, Halama and many other small producers with fluctuating company names.
What Desna did in last year and half is known, they closed their factory and stopped their production.
Seems to me that they are trying to sale the stock so they start run web page again.

I have no information about recovering production id Desna for the meanwhile.

The situation with this "deco" pieces was very unclear - see
