Would you believe it there is a good picture of one on ebay  no 350400302494 except mine is ruby and clear
I took the liberty of contacting the seller in the auction mentioned in this quote and asked permission to copy the images and post them here. The seller said that was fine. I have also contacted the seller of the original link and asked the same question and hopefully will be given permission to do so. I felt this conversation was important enough to make sure we had a record of the original images from ebay.

Shape "similarities" without images can really lead us in the wrong direction.....

This is the vase the same as JP's, except in green and his is red.

These pictures are being posted to insure the original shape in this discussion is preserved. The seller gave permission for the images to be used.  My general experience is that all one needs to do is ask and people are agreeable, especially when the use is educational.

So when the ebay auction in the original post is gone, these are pics of the piece that started this discussion.

I have also placed the pieces side by side in the second image.

Craig

Edited in: Images seem to be having an issue and if these do not work I will check back and add again.

jp, is there any chance of seeing a pic of your vase, just in case it's a bit different from the one you found on eBay?

Hi Cathy my one is like the one on the left but the top of vase and flange are rounded of  fire polished i believe and where the one pictured curves in near the bottom the flanges on mine go almost straight down with just a very slight curve in
and finish flush with the base sticking out either side just under one cm , there is quite a lot of wear to the base and the colours of mine are reversed clear center ruby flanges . sorry i have a phobia about trying pictures .One day maybe .
