I have seen it at eBay already. Original Forejtova looks a bit different.
The question is who was the first, and I am unable to answer this question. Forejtova had designed mainly in pottery, also this piece had been designed in pottery.

Didn't Marcus mention these way back when sometime? I'll have a search of the board.

Marcus had the suspiction that some pieces originaly designed in glass had been replicated in pottery.
In this case it is reverse order. Pottery piece had been transfered to glass.

Anyway, Marcus suspiction was confirmed by Mr. Urban, he told me this summer that it was marketing strategy of directors, some Slo Union designes had been sold to Germany for pottery production. So no robbery but just clear bussines of factory bosses.

Hi Jindrich, i did say "inspired"  but if the label fall's off ?? i know they are not the same, i just think if someone ask's if they have a  Firejtova piece we can look at this one and compare
Anne, you are right Marcus did mention this figure and i am sure he said it was a stand alone piece?

OOOppps sorry you replied while i was typing  :kissy:

And here's a photo of the Forejtova piece for comparison.

Photo by Simon Bruntnell as used in Sklo Union Art Before Industry: 20th Century Czech Pressed Glass by Marcus Newhall.

Forgot to mention!! sorry,   i have had both types of figures in my hands, this one is solid and I will  it call the third type
1st) rounded, smooth, base circular (hollow )
2nd) angular, more pointed, hollow base, base at obtuse angles
3rd) new Italian,  solid base, stand alone figure.

Doe's this make sense?
